The Inca Trail short or " mini- Inca Trail " from Chacabamba at km.104 crossers the opposite side of this ravine, passes the waterfall, then enters the terraces of Wiñay Wayna and follow the trail for six hours to the spectacular view of Machu Picchu from Inti Punku, The gate of the Sun. From here we descend into the world famous "Lost City". After a restful night in a hotel, We return to Machu Picchu at dawn to see the ruins in perfect morning light. In the afternoon, We return to Cusco by train.
Guarantee your Inca Trail permit: In order to preserve the Inca Trail and its surrounds, the Peruvian authorities currently cap the number of Inca Trail trekking permits to 500 per day, which includes trekkers, guides and porters. Permits often sell out several months in advance and you must book well ahead to secure your place, particularly if you want to trek in the high season, from June to October is recommended in order to secure your reservation.
