Traveling in Peru requires flexibility, patience, good mood, and understanding that changes could be made without prior notice due to circumstances outside of our control. By booking any of our tours, you agree that Manu Tours Peru will make possible necessary changes without liability.
OVERWHELMING FORCE: This if for the events that Manu Tours Peru cannot solve the, even with due care and prevention methods. This covers events such as civil unrest or strikes, illnesses, disasters or adverse weather conditions, fires or similar events beyond our control. In this case, Manu Tours Peru will not accept liability and reserves the right to change, postpone or even cancel the trip (this is the last option of course!)
Increases in the case of protests, strikes and landslides ( OVERWHELMING FORCE): In the case of a protest/strike, which is not uncommon in Cusco, it could be necessary to delay or speed up your trip. If there are additional services such as transfer, change of airlines, or penality for change of tickets, you will be charged the extra expenses for the occurence.
Risks: To reserve any of our trips (Machu Picchu, Inca Trail, Salkantay, Choquequirao, Lares Trek, Ausangate, Manu National Park trips, Manu Biosphere trips, Manu Cultural Zone Trips, etc.), you assume all possible risks that could occur during your trip. Because of this, Manu Tours Peru will do everything possible so that your trip carries out with normalcy and ease.
NON-REIMBURSABLE DEPOSIT: To guarantee your reservation with Manu Tours Peru, you will have to deposit 30% per person for alternate treks such as: Machu Picchu, Salkantay trek, Lares Trek, Choquequirao and Manu National Park, Manu Biosphere, Manu Cultural Zone, Tambopata, etc., for Inca Trail 50% per person.
FINAL PAYMENT: The remaining balance will need to be paid at your hotel in Cusco 1 day prior to the starting date of your tour (in cash, please!!) If you do not wish to carry this much cash with you, you could also pay in advance through PayPal, Bank Account and VISA NET.
Forms of Payment: We have a bank account (each bank charges a commission, which you will pay for your home bank as well as ours ), Paypal has a commission of 6% fee to be paid by the traveler, and VISA NET ONLINE has a commission of 5% fee to be paid by the traveler.
The notification of cancellation must be done in writing to firstname.lastname@example.org and is regulated as follows:
1.- If the cancellation takes place more than 60 days before the date of departure, 70% of the deposit will be withheld:
2.- If the cancellation takes place more than 30 days before the date of departure, your full deposit will be forfeited:
3.- If you pay the total price of the trip and its cancellation occurs between 30 and 15 days before the date of departure, you will lose 60% of the payment of your trip.
4.- If you pay the total price of the trip with the cancellation taking place less than 3-15 days before the date of departure, 80% of the price of the trip will be withheld.
5.- A 'no show' means a 100% loss of the total price, 2 or 1 day (s) before departure.
*We charge these fees because there are a lot of expenses that Manu Tours Peru pays in advance to establish these tours. Unfortunately, there are no exceptions. However, we would be happy to provide a letter to your insurance company to help you recover some of the cost.
Travel insurance: We advise you to get travel insurance that covers accidents, medical expenses and emergency repatriation, including rescue and air ambulance. We also recommend that you cover cancellations and lost luggage. Please send a copy / name of the company and the policy number by email.
