The biosphere reserve Manu offers one of the best jungle experiences below the cloud forests of Peru where you can appreciate the famous Andean cock-of-the-rock – the national bird of Peru. The biosphere Manu offers a clay lick for macaws, a clay lick for tapirs in Maquisapayoj, two lagoons home to giant otters and 600 species of birds, the highest tower of the Amazon jungle right next to a 350 year old Ceiba tree, 8 different species of monkeys, deer and the impressive jaguar.
